Well if all I have to this day is a microkorg. What am I need to start recording music and I need a mixer. Any recomendation on brands? Thank you for your help

So you microkorg and one (I assume) of a computer. You only need a few things more. First, you'll need some kind of program registration, such as Sony Acid, Cool Edit Pro, or Magix Music Maker. My personal recommendation is Magix (current version is 15). It has everything you need in a program to record and edit, and easy to use. There's even a video tutorial to get you started. It also has a VSTi some included (software synthesizers). This is essential because you can not record sounds via MIDI. If the only tool you use is your microkorg, you will not need a mixer. If you plan to use more than that (like other synths or guitar, microphone, etc.) and a mixer will be useful. Some good brands to consider are Alesis and Mackie. Naturally, There are plenty of other things you can get for recording, but the basic configuration, and it should work well.

I just fear that if I put money on a micro (less than $ 200) I'll eventually get a sound worse than if I recorded directly into my unit.

If I were you I would not have this mixer, I would wait and save money because it seems too as a toy is missing a key element of the real DJ Decks is the pitch fader.
